The purpose of this reissued bulletin is to provide ordering information for Red Spot Paint supplies.
1.
Paint and reducer can be ordered from Red Spot by calling toll free number 1-800-457-3544.
2.
The minimum quantity of paint that can be purchased is five (5) gallons and the minimum quantity of reducer is one (1) quart.
Paint repairs on 1982-84 model Celebrity polycarbonate instrument panels should be performed using the following procedure:
1.
Remove all loose paint from the affected and surrounding area using a soft wire brush. Either a hand brush or a brush attached to a drill motor may
be used.
2.
Clean the wire brushed area with a clean cloth saturated with isopropyl alcohol or naptha to remove any finger oil or other contamination.
CAUTION: Do not substitute other solvents or paint thinner for this cleaning. Stronger solvents will attack and weaken the polycarbonate plastic.
3.
Allow the cleaner to dry from the surface and then spray paint the area with Red Spot Paint and Varnish Co., Inc. AE261C series lacquer that has
been reduced with Red Spot Paint and Varnish Co., Inc. SV3744 Reducing Solvent (thinner). Typical reduction is one part AE261C lacquer mixed
with one part SV3744 thinner.

CAUTION: Do not paint using any other paint or thinner. Other paints and thinners can attack and weaken the polycarbonate plastic.
4.
Allow the paint to air dry at room temperature (approximately 30 minutes).
