Suspending Rear Caliper
NOTE: If caliper overhaul or replacement is not required, hang the caliper with a wire hook from the suspension to avoid stretching or damaging
the brake hose.
- Remove sleeves (8) and sleeve boots (7).
Rear Caliper Assembly
- Inspect mounting bolts (6) and sleeves (8) for corrosion. If corrosion is found, use new parts, including sleeve boots (7), when installing caliper
housing (27). Do not attempt to polish away corrosion.
- Inspect sleeve boots (7) for cuts, nicks or deterioration.
