Remove the accelerator cable retainer and accelerator cable from the throttle body.
7.
Squeeze the accelerator cable cover tangs and push the cable through the accelerator cable bracket.
INSTALLATION:
CAUTION: To prevent possible interference or damage, flexible components (hoses, wires, conduits, etc.) must not be routed within 50mm (2.0") of
moving parts, unless routing is positively controlled.
1.
Reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: Check for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator pedal. Also check for poor carpet fit under the
accelerator pedal. The throttle should operate freely without binding between full closed and wide open throttle.
2.
Apply a heavy bodied sealer around the accelerator cable at the engine compartment side of the dash panel (bulkhead).
ACCELERATOR PEDAL
REMOVAL:
1.
Remove the lower instrument panel trim attaching screws.
2.
Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal.
3.
Remove the accelerator pedal attaching nut, screw and accelerator pedal.
INSTALLATION:
1.
Position the accelerator pedal assembly in position, install the attaching bolt and nut and tighten.
2.
Connect the accelerator cable to the accelerator pedal.
3.
Install the lower instrument panel and attaching screws.
