Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

CITATION

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove radio knob and nuts and the clock knob.

3.

Remove instrument cluster bezel to panel carrier attaching screws, then pull bezel rearward.

4.

Remove spring clip retainer from knob shaft, then slide shaft out of switch housing.

5.

Pull bezel rearward and disconnect accessory switch wiring connectors.

6.

Remove instrument cluster bezel.

7.

Remove two screws securing radio bracket to instrument panel.

8.

Pull radio rearward while twisting slightly toward left side and disconnect electrical connections. Remove lamp socket.

9.

Remove radio from instrument panel.

10.

Reverse procedure to install.
