Information to Avoid Damage or Breakage to Power Mirror/Window/Lock Switch Trim Plate Assembly During Removal From Door Trim

2004-2008 Chevrolet Colorado
2004-2008 GMC Canyon

This bulletin is being revised to add model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 05-08-64-015 (Section 08 - Body & Accessories).
When servicing any components that require the removal of the door trim panel and/or the power mirror window and door lock switch plate assembly the
following steps should be taken to avoid damaging or breaking the clip tower which holds the plate to the door panel in the front.
1.
Remove the two screws securing the switch plate assembly to the door trim panel.
2.
Lift the front of the plate up to disengage the clip.

If lifting the rear of the assembly first it will break the clip tower.
