Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
NOTE: On Air Bag Equipped Models, Refer To Air Bag Disarming & Arming Procedures. Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belt/Air
Bags(SRS)/Service and Repair.
1. Remove four Torx screw from back of steering wheel, then connector position assurance (CPA) electrical connector from rear of inflator module.
2. Remove horn slip ring connectors, then horn ring.
3. Remove steering column locknut.
4. Using puller J-1859-03, or equivalent, remove steering wheel.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering wheel locknut to 31 ft. lbs.
