Camshaft Replacement
Tools Required
J 41476 Front and Rear Cover Alignment Tool
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the engine assembly.
2. Remove the crankshaft balancer.
3. Remove the left and right exhaust manifolds.
4. Remove the water pump.
5. Remove the intake manifold.
6. Remove the engine valley cover.
7. Remove the coolant air bleed pipe.
8. Remove the left and right valve rocker arm covers.
9. Remove the valve rocker arms and push rods.
10. Remove the left and right cylinder heads.
11. Remove the valve lifters.
12. Remove the oil pan-to-front cover bolts (2).
13. Remove the front cover bolts.
14. Remove the front cover and gasket. Discard the old gasket.
