Drive Pulley: Service and Repair

Water Pump Pulley Replacement (LDD, LUH, and LUJ) (1.4L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (1.4L LUH and LUJ)  (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance

Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair).

2. Remove the engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side  (See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and

Accessories/Engine Mount/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side).

3. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement  (See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair).

4. Loosen the 3 water pump pulley bolts (2) while holding the water pump pulley hub with a wrench.
5. Remove the 3 water pump pulley bolts (2).
6. Remove the water pump pulley (1).
