Thermal Vacuum Valve - Carb: Testing and Inspection
Cold Engine Air Bleed TVS
Cold Engine Air Bleed Thermal Vacuum Switch (CEAB-TVS),
COLD ENGINE--TEMPERATURE BELOW 170°F
1. Connect a vacuum gauge to either port and connect a vacuum pump to the remaining port.
2. Apply vacuum--See Figure. The vacuum reading on the gauge should be the same as that applied by the pump.
3. Replace valve if operation is not as specified.
WARM ENGINE--TEMPERATURE ABOVE 170°F
1. Make the same connections as in "Cold Check," and with vacuum applied, there should be no reading on the vacuum gauge.
2. Replace the valve if operation is not as specified.

Refer to the number stamped on the base of the switch or valve for calibrated switching or activation temperatures.
