Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 87-147 is being reissued to correct the application of the part numbers for the weatherstrips. All copies of 87-147
(Section 10) dated May, 1987 should be destroyed.

Beginning January, 1987, a new style side roof rail weatherstrip is used on 1987 El Caminos without Hatch Roof Option. These new weatherstrips
exhibit very little appearance change, however, they are thicker and softer to minimize wind noise.

The new weatherstrips are available from GMSPO under part numbers:

These part numbers supersede current part numbers and apply to 1978 through 1987 model years.
