Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cables.
2.
Remove oil pump drive and vacuum pump.
3.
Remove fan shroud attaching screws and pull upward from clips.
4.
Raise and support vehicle. Drain oil pan.
5.
Disconnect exhaust and crossover pipes, then remove oil cooler lines from filter base.
6.
Remove flywheel cover and the starter motor.
7.
Remove both engine mount through bolts and raise engine with suitable equipment.
8.
Loosen the righthand engine mount and remove the lefthand engine mount.
9.
Remove oil pan attaching bolts and the oil pan.
10.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque oil pan attaching bolts to 10 ft. lbs.
