Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
LEFT SIDE
1.
Remove air cleaner and cover carburetor.
2.
Remove lower generator bracket.
3.
Raise and support vehicle.
4.
Remove crossover or exhaust pipe.
5.
Lower vehicle, then remove exhaust manifold from above.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, torquing bolts to 25 ft. lbs.
RIGHT SIDE
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Remove crossover pipe and/or exhaust pipe as necessary.
3.
On 1983---84 vehicles, remove right front wheel.
4.
Remove exhaust manifold.
5.
Reverse procedure to install, torquing attaching bolts to 25 ft. lbs.
