5. Install a new sealing washer to the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube hose at the compressor hose. Refer to Air
Conditioning System Seal Replacement (See: Coupler HVAC/A/C Coupler O-ring/Service and Repair/Air Conditioning System Seal
Replacement)
6. Install the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube hose (2) to the compressor hose.
7. Install the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube hose nut (1) to the compressor hose and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
8. install the compressor hose retainer nut (2) to the battery box and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
9. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (See: Service and Repair/Procedures/Refrigerant Recovery and
Recharging).
10. Test the affected A/C joints for leaks using J 39400-A.
