Spare Tire: Service and Repair
Spare Tire Replacement (Passenger and Cargo)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Obtain the tire ratchet and extension from the tire jack.
2. Install the extension at an angle through the hole in the rear door frame, above the rear bumper.
3. Install the ratchet, with the word UP towards you, to the extension. Turn the ratchet counterclockwise in order to remove the spare tire from the
vehicle.
4. With the spare tire on the ground, remove the retaining bar from the middle of the spare tire.
5. Remove the spare tire from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the spare tire, with the valve stem downward, to the vehicle.
2. With the spare tire on the ground, install the retaining bar to the middle of the spare tire.
3. Install the ratchet, with the word UP towards you, to the extension. Turn the ratchet clockwise in order to install the spare tire to the vehicle.
3.1.
Two clicks will be heard when the spare tire is completely installed to the vehicle.
3.2.
Verify that the spare tire is correctly installed and secured.
3.3.
Return the ratchet and the extension to the jack.
