REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 9746-02 Wheel Bearing Remover
1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
NOTICE: Support the caliper with a piece of wire to prevent damage to the brake line.
3. Remove the front brake caliper.
4. Remove the hub/rotor. Refer to Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement.
5. Remove the wheel stud using a press.

Support the hub/rotor using the J 9746-02 and the press bars.

Do not damage the wheel mounting surface on the hub/rotor flange.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the wheel hub stud into the hub/rotor.
2. Place four washers and a nut on the stud.
3. Tighten until the stud is fully seated in the hub/rotor.
4. Install the hub/rotor. Refer to Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement.
5. Adjust the wheel bearings. Refer to Wheel Bearing Adjustment.
6. Install the brake caliper.
7. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
8. Remove the safety stands.
9. Lower the vehicle.
