8. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the engine using a twisting motion
9. Clean the old sealer from the oil level indicator tube and the engine block.
Installation Procedure
1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent around the oil level indicator tube 13 mm (0.5 inch) below the tube
bead.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block. Rotate the oil level indicator tube into position.
3. Apply sealer, GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent, on the upper oil level indicator tube to the area where it fits into the
lower half.
4. Install the oil level indicator tube upper half to the lower half.
