Intake Air Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection   (See: Starting and

Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Negative/Service and Repair/Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection).

2. Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement   (See: Turbocharger/Intercooler/Intercooler

Duct/Service and Repair/Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement).

3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the intake air heater (IAH).
4. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the intake air valve.
5. Remove the nut and the positive battery cable from the IAH.

6. Remove the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement   (See: Throttle Body/Service and Repair).
