Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Engine Mount Replacement (Front)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. In order to gain access to the left side engine mount, remove the front drive axle, if equipped.
4. Remove the engine mount through-bolt and nut for the side being replaced.
5. Raise and support the engine enough to remove the mount.
NOTICE: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley.
Lifting the engine in an unapproved manner may cause component damage.
6. Remove the bolts for the frame side mount.
7. Remove the frame side mount.
