Express 4500 V8-6.0L (2010)
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
2. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling
System/Coolant Reservoir/Service and Repair/Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement).
3. Remove the suction line nut (1) from the accumulator.
4. Remove the rear suction line nut (2) if equipped with rear air.
5. Remove the suction line bolt from the compressor.
6. Remove the suction line from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the suction line into the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
2. Install the suction line bolt to the compressor and tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).
3. Install the rear suction line nut (2) if equipped with rear air and tighten to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).
4. Install the suction line nut (1) to the accumulator and tighten to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).
5. Install the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling
System/Coolant Reservoir/Service and Repair/Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement).
6. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A.

Removal Procedure
1. Recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and
Recharging).
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Access Cover/Service and Repair).
