2. Piston and housing dimensions.

Measure the piston dimension (3).

Measure the housing dimension (4).
-
Check legend for the proper dimensions.
ASSEMBLE
1. Retainer and the spring in the piston.
-
New seals on the piston.
-
Retainer ring using J 22269-01.
2. Pin.
-
New seals on the pin.
3. Retainer ring on the pin.
-
Spring and the washer.
4. Housing on the piston.
-
New seal on the housing.
Important: Ensure the seals are correctly positioned.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Servo return spring.
2. 2nd apply piston assembly.
3. 4th apply piston.
4. New seal on the cover.
5. Cover and the retaining ring using J 29714-A.

Raise the transmission if needed.
-
Lower the vehicle.
6. New transmission oil.
