be rewelded. A two-piece propeller shaft can become out of phase if it is taken apart at the center slip yoke and reassembled incorrectly. In this case it
can be put back in phase; however, caution should be taken. There are two possible ways that the two-piece propeller shaft can be in phase but only one
way that it will be in balance. Refer to BALANCING. As with the one-piece propeller shaft, under no circumstance should it be rewelded.
