Heater Core Case: Service and Repair
Air Inlet Case, Primary Heating System
Air Inlet Case
Remove or Disconnect
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Recover the refrigerant if equipped.
3. The heater hoses from the heater core.
4. The evaporator casing from the vehicle.
5. The heater case retaining nuts from the engine compartment.
6. Roll out the instrument panel.
7. The electrical connectors.
8. The vacuum lines.
9. The heater case from the vehicles.
Install or Connect
1. The heater case to the vehicle.
2. The vacuum lines.
3. The electrical connectors.
4. Roll the instrument panel upward.
5. The heater case retaining nuts to the engine compartment.
Tighten
^
The heater case retaining nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb. in.).
6. The evaporator casing to the vehicle.
7. The heater hoses to the heater core.
8. Recharge the refrigerant if equipped.
9. Fill the engine coolant.
