Starter Motor: Service and Repair
Starter Motor Solenoid
CAUTION: Refer to "Service Precautions".
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The starter motor from the vehicle.
2. The field wire connection from the solenoid.
3. The starter solenoid retaining bolts from the starter motor.
4. The starter solenoid from the starter motor.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The starter solenoid to the starter motor.
2. The starter solenoid retaining bolts to the starter motor.
Tighten
^
The starter motor solenoid retaining bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
3. The field wire connection to the solenoid.
Tighten
^
The field wire connection to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
4. The starter motor to the vehicle.
