About the G 30 Van
The G 30 is the one-ton version of the Chevrolet G-series van. The G-series van, sold by Chevrolet and GMC since 1964, has had its engine ahead of the front seats since 1971 and shares much of its mechanicals with the C/K trucks. The third generation was built from 1971 to 1996, when the Express replaced it.

- 1982–1996: the 4.1-litre six, the 4.3 V6, the 5.0, 5.7 and 7.4-litre V8s and the 6.2 and 6.5 diesels (including the turbo diesel)
