Installation Procedure

Note:  The key should be in the OFF position when connecting the electrical connectors to ensure proper calibration.

1. Install the air temperature actuator.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the air temperature actuator screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.2 Nm (19 lb in).

3. Install the air temperature actuator electrical connector.
4. Install the knee bolster reinforcement. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Driver Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement).

5. Install the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).
