Steering Gear Boot Replacement

Tools Required

J 22610  Keystone Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rack and pinion outer tie rod end. Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement   (See: Tie Rod/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the rack and pinion inner tie rod nut and discard it.
3. Remove the outer steering gear boot clamp.
4. Cut the inner steering gear boot clamp and discard it.
