Child Comfort Clip Comes Off From Seat (Sew New Design Clip Into Seat Cover)

Condition
Some customers may comment that the child comfort clip comes off the seat or that the clip comes off of the elastic cord.
Cause
The cord may have come loose from the stitching in the seat back cover.
Correction 1 (For 2001-2004 and 2007-2008 Models)
Replace the child comfort clip with the newly designed clip as shown in the illustration above.
Important:
It will be necessary to cut the retainer off the new clip for the 2001-04 and 2007-08 models. Sewing is required in order to replace the child
comfort clip.

Remove the seat back cover. Refer to the Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement procedure in SI.
