About the K 10
The K 10 is a four-wheel-drive half-ton from the third-generation C/K trucks (1973–1991), the "square-body" trucks that were the first C/K designed with computers and wind tunnels. In 1978 the C/K became the first American full-size pickup sold with a diesel, and a 6.2-litre diesel V8 followed for 1982. Pickups of this generation were renamed the R/V series for 1987 while the new C/K was sold alongside.
What these manuals cover
- 1982–1985: the 4.1 and 4.8-litre sixes, the 5.0 and 5.7-litre V8s and the 6.2 diesel
Tip: the 10, 20 and 30 numbers mean half-ton, three-quarter-ton and one-ton; C is two-wheel drive and K four-wheel drive.
