K 1500 Suburban 4WD V8-6.5L DSL Turbo VIN F (1999)
IMPORTANT: Mark the fuel injection line retaining clips and brackets in order to ensure proper reinstallation.
8. Remove the upper intake manifold from the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Upper).
9. Remove the braces from the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement.
10. Remove the lower intake manifold from the cylinder head. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (Lower).
IMPORTANT: The turbocharger heat shield must be removed from the turbocharger to ensure that the fuel injectors are not damaged during the
removal process.
11. Remove the fuel injection lines from the fuel injectors and the fuel injection pump. Refer to Injection Line(s) Replacement in Powertrain
Managements.
12. Remove the oil level indicator and tube from the engine block. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement.
13. Remove the heater hose from heater core inlet. Refer to Heater Hoses Replacement in Heating and Air Conditioning.
