K 1500 Truck 4WD V8-4.8L VIN V (2003)
Tighten
Tighten the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle nut to 200 N.m (147 lb ft).
4. Install the bracket (7) to the axle.
5. Install the bolt (8) and nut (2) retaining the bracket to the axle.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt and nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
6. Install the bolt (4) retaining the brake hose bracket (3) to the axle.
Tighten
Tighten the brake hose bracket retaining bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
7. Install the tire and wheel.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Perform a four wheel alignment. Refer to Measuring Wheel Alignment (With Rear Wheel Steering) Measuring Wheel Alignment (Without Rear
Wheel Steering) in Wheel Alignment.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
NOTE: Refer to Rear Wheel Steering Lifting and Jacking Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.
