Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the window.
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door

3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door

4. Remove the lock cylinder rod (4) from the lever (3).
5. Remove the lock cylinder retainer (1).
6. Remove the lock cylinder.
7. Remove the lock cylinder gasket (2) from the lock cylinder.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the lock cylinder gasket (2) to the lock cylinder (3).
2. Install the lock cylinder.
3. Install the lock cylinder retainer (1).
4. Install the lock cylinder rod (4) to the cylinder lever.
5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door

6. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door
