Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Left

Removal Procedure 

1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
2. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct.
3. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (Right).
4. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Crossover Replacement.
5. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe bolts to the left hand exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Crossover Replacement.
6. Remove the left hand exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.
7. Remove the left hand exhaust manifold heat shield.

8. Remove the left hand exhaust manifold nuts.
9. Remove the left hand exhaust manifold.

10. Remove the left hand exhaust manifold gasket.
11. Clean the left hand exhaust manifold to the left hand cylinder head sealing surfaces.
