Lumina V6-3.8L VIN K (1998)
1. Install the thermostat.
2. Connect the thermostat housing to the intake manifold with the new gasket.
3. Install the bolts to the thermostat housing with RTV Sealer GM P/N 1052366 or equivalent.

Tighten the bolts to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Connect the radiator hose to the thermostat housing.
5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement See: Engine/Service and Repair.
6. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Air Filter Element/Air Cleaner Assembly in Powertrain Management.
7. Install the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
