Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Description and Operation

The electric cooling fan operates when the PCM grounds the cooling fan relay(s) winding. The relays then close and complete the circuit between the 40
amp fusible link and the fan motor. There are two relays that complete the circuit either through a resistor (low speed relay) or directly (high speed
relay).
The PCM determines the operation of the fan based on A/C head pressure, engine coolant temperature, vehicle speed and A/C request signal inputs.
