Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and

Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement).

2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (5) from the exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor (4).

3. Remove the CMP sensor bolt. (Intake CMP shown, exhaust CMP similar).
4. Remove the CMP sensor.
