Wheel Cylinder: Service and Repair
Replacement

NOTE:  Raise vehicle and suitably support. Clean Dirt and foreign material around wheel cylinder assembly inlet and pilot.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Tire and Wheel Assembly. 
2. Inlet tube nut and line. Plug opening in line to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

Leading Trailing Drum Brake Assembly

3. Brake drum and Components. Do not let backing plate hang from parking brake cable. Damage may occur.
4. Wheel cylinder bolts.
5. Wheel cylinder. 

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Wheel cylinder bolts. Tighten Wheel cylinder bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
