Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Throttle Body Assembly Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Drain enough of the engine coolant to prevent leakage from the throttle body coolant bypass hoses. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System
in Cooling System.
3. Disconnect the breather tube from the air intake tube.
4. Remove the air intake tube.
5. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
