Rear Spoiler Replacement (Sedan)
Removal Procedure
Notice: Use of harsh chemicals when cleaning can damage exterior lamps. Suggested cleaners are a mild soap and water, or Varnish Makers and
Painters (VM&P) Naptha. VM&P Naptha is a specific type of naptha and should not be substituted by any other naptha.
1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the nuts from the spoiler.
3. Using a heat gun, apply heat in a circular motion to the rear spoiler mounting locations from the inside for about 30 seconds, 152 mm (6 in) from
the surface.
4. Use a small flat-bladed tool to lift the spoiler from the rear compartment lid. Do NOT damage the paint.
5. Remove the spoiler from the rear compartment lid.
6. Use 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover, disk 3M(TM) P/N 07501 or equivalent, to clean the adhesive from the rear compartment lid
and from the spoiler.
7. Use VM&P Naphtha, or equivalent, to clean the body panel.
