Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the one bolt and the CKP sensor from the engine block.
4. Inspect the CKP sensor signal rotor for damaged or missing teeth through the CKP sensor opening.
Installation Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
2. Install the CKP sensor into the engine block.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
3. Secure the CKP sensor with the one bolt.
