VISUAL INSPECTION

Steering rack boots for wear, deterioration or tears.
CAUTION: A torn boot allows entry of dirt and moisture into the steering gear assembly, which can produce noise, cause rust and/or wear to
the rack and pinion and result in malfunction of the steering system. If even a small tear is found, replace the boot with a new one.

Tie rod end ball stud dust seal for deterioration wear or tears. Replace seal for even the smallest sign of wear. Coat the inside of the seal with
grease prior to installation.

Rack plunger and spring for wear or damage. Replace as necessary.
