This bulletin cancels Dealer Service Bulletin 87-147 reissued (Section 10) dated August 1987 of which all copies should be destroyed. The reason for
cancelling 87-147 reissue is because it indicated incorrect applications for the weatherstrip.
Beginning January, 1987, a new style side roof rail weatherstrip is used on the above models without Hatch Roof option. These new weatherstrips
exhibit very little appearance change, however, they are thicker and softer to minimize wind noise.
The new weatherstrips are available from GMSPO under part numbers:

These part numbers supersede current part numbers and apply to 1978 through 1987 model years.
