This bulletin cancels and supersedes Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 88-62-7A dated October 1987. All copies of bulletin 88-62-7A should be
destroyed.
Effective November 25, 1987, (Julian Date 329) Hydra-Matic began using the original design filter and seal assembly for all 200-4R transmissions.
When replacing the filter on any past or current model THM 200-4R transmission, use the following service package:
GMSPO part number 8639951 (includes previous filter, previous O-ring seals, and oil pan gasket).
