Coolant Line/Hose: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Drain the cooling system. 

2. Loosen and reposition the following clamps on the coolant bypass hose: 

^

One hose clamp at the intake manifold end 

^

One hose clamp at the coolant intake pipe end

3. Remove the coolant bypass hose from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Position a new hose clamp on each end of the coolant bypass hose.
2. Install the coolant bypass hose to the vehicle.
3. Position the bypass hose over the coolant intake pipe and the intake manifold flares.
4. Use the two coolant bypass hose clamps in order to secure the hose.
5. Use and approved coolant in order to fill the radiator.
