Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair
2. Remove the heater core.
3. Remove the blower motor cover (2).
4. Remove the eleven screws and separate the HVAC module assembly case halves.
5. Remove the evaporator (4).
Installation Procedure
Important: If the evaporator was replaced add 59 cc (2.0 fl oz) of compressor oil.
1. Install the evaporator (4) to the HVAC module assembly.
2. Install the top half of the HVAC module assembly (3) and secure with the eleven screws.
3. Install the heater core.
4. Install the blower motor cover (2).
5. Install the HVAC module assembly.
