Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Discharge and recover the refrigerant.
Important: Cap the open fittings to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the refrigeration system.
3. Disconnect the union (4) of the evaporator liquid hose (5) and the evaporator liquid tube (3).
4. Carefully remove the orifice tube with needle nose pliers.
Installation Procedure
Important: Use new O-rings lubricated with 525 viscosity mineral oil.
