Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.
3. Remove the following components from the I/P carrier:

The plastic retainer
^
The left side air ventilation duct
^
The screw
^
The left side air outlet duct
4. Disconnect the stoplamp switch electrical connector.
5. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
^
One locknut
^
The stoplamp switch (1)
