Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Inspection
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Inspection
1. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector (4).
2. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF.
3. Measure the voltage between the 5 volt reference (2) and ground (1) circuits, using a DMM.
Measure
The DMM should read 4.5-5.5 volts.
4. If the DMM does not read the correct voltage, refer to DTC P0450. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection
5. Measure the fuel tank pressure sensor input circuit (1).
Measure
The DMM should read 4.55.5 volts.
6. If the DMM does not read the correct voltage, refer to DTC P0450. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection
7. Turn the Ignition OFF.
8. Reconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
9. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel tank pressure sensor.
