Installation Procedure

1. Install the accelerator pedal cable (5) and the bracket (1) to bulkhead.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Secure with two bolts (2).

Tighten

Tighten the accelerator pedal cable-to-bulkhead bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

3. Connect the accelerator pedal cable to accelerator pedal.

4. Connect the accelerator pedal cable (3) to the actuator lever (1).

Rotating the actuator lever (1) by hand will aide in accelerator pedal cable installation.

5. Connect the accelerator pedal cable to the cable guide clip.
6. Install the accelerator pedal cable (3) into the bracket.
7. Adjust the cable adjusting locknuts to allow slight freedom of movement between the accelerator pedal cable and the actuator lever.
8. Secure the cable adjustment with two cable adjusting locknuts (2).

Tighten

Tighten the cable adjusting lock nuts (2) to 8 N-m (71 lb in).
