7. Remove the shift lock control module electrical connector (2) from the shift lock control module (1).
8. Remove the shift lock control module from the manual selector.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the shift lock control module (1) to the manual selector.
2. Install the shift lock control module to the electrical connector (2) to the shift lock control module (1).
3. Install the shift lock solenoid and the shift lock switch assembly electrical connectors (2,3) to the shift lock solenoid.
IMPORTANT: Upon the completion of the shift lock control module installation, perform the following steps to ensure proper operation:

Temporarily install the negative (-) battery cable.

When the ignition switch is turned to LOCK, the solenoid is NOT energized.

When the ignition switch is turned to ON, and the brake pedal is depressed, the solenoid is energized.
