Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the stone shield.
3. Disconnect the CKP electrical connector.

4. Remove the one hold down bolt (2).
5. Remove the CKP sensor (1) from the engine block.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the CKP sensor (1) into the engine block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the one CKP sensor hold down bolt (2). 

Tighten

Tighten the CKP sensor hold down bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the stone shield.
4. Lower the vehicle.
